Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil For sautéing
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 inch Ginger Fresh grated
  • 4 cups Chicken broth Or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup Water Optional to adjust soup consistency
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce Low sodium preferred
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil Adds flavor
  • 1 package Frozen potstickers About 12–15 pieces
  • 2 cups Napa cabbage Chopped
  • 1 cup Carrots Julienned or thinly sliced
  • 3 stalks Green onions Chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste
  • ½ tsp Black pepper To taste
  • 1 tsp Rice vinegar Optional for tang

Instructions
 

  • Phase 1 / Step 1: Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat, add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant

  • Phase 1 / Step 2: Pour in chicken broth and water (if using), bring to a gentle boil
  • Phase 1 / Step 3: Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil, adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper

  • Phase 2 / Step 1: Add chopped Napa cabbage and julienned carrots, simmer 3–5 minutes until tender-crisp
  • Phase 2 / Step 2: Gently drop frozen potstickers into simmering soup, cook 6–8 minutes until they float and are heated through
